Hand hewn beams were shaped generations ago with axes and adzes, long before modern machinery. Each axe mark is a fingerprint of the past — a physical record of American history. These textures are deeply uneven, rugged, and full of life.

Rough sawn (or circle sawn) beams were milled using early saw technology, which left behind rhythmic saw marks on every face. These textures are less rustic than hand hewn, but still rich in history.
