Reclaimed American Barn Wood Floating Shelves, custom made for you. Bring history home.
Our American Barn Collection of reclaimed barn wood materials breathe new life into this historic material by restoring it and bringing it into your home or commercial project. Our collection includes antique wood floating shelves handcrafted from old barns dating from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s. The character and warmth of this classic material makes for a truly distinctive home or commercial project.
Each shelf is 1-3/4" (nominal) solid thickness for a sturdy and robust look. One leading edge and two broad faces are original face, with the two sides and back edge being clean cut. Material is Rough Sawn which often includes circle saw marks. The character is unmatched, with all of the marks of original milling done generations ago; from saw marks, checks, nail holes, and more.
The standard 12" depth is achieved with three 4" wide planks. Ends are clean cut while the front edge, top and bottom faces will be the original face. Provided unfinished and brush sanded to remove dirt and smooth out surface slightly to remove splinters, etc. The original face and character is maintained.

The Vintage Wood Floor Company is not a retailer or an importer. We are a manufacturer. Which means we produce our own products; managing the entire process from reclamation to delivery. Everything we offer is created under the watchful eye of our owner and Head Craftsman, who proudly trains each craftsman on our team. While we offer many products, we have only one standard – excellence. Our core business is custom work, making your visions come to life so if you have a project that requires an authentic touch let us show you what we can do.

An alternative to solid floating shelves are hollow box beams. We often build custom box beams as shelving to the exact specifications of your project. We use the same reclaimed material as you'd choose for a solid shelf. This allows you to achieve a thicker, wider, deeper shelf that is a fraction of the weight of a solid shelf. The demand for our new and reclaimed barn wood box beams has caused us to split box beams off into a division of its own. Now, you can visit our BoxBeamCollection.com website, configure your box beams down to the inch of accuracy, get an instant price including shipping, and place your order. Never before has this functionality been possible, and now you can order and be on your way.
